What is a rotary clamping cylinder?
The rotary clamping cylinder refers to a cylinder in which the piston rod can rotate 90° (or right) while extending and contracting, and then the workpiece is clamped by the clamping arm using the tightening stroke. It is used to clamp small workpieces. Compared with direct clamping, the space above the workpiece before clamping can be effectively used.
Rotary clamping cylinders are available in standard and heavy-duty types. The heavy-duty type can withstand greater moment of inertia.

As shown in the figure, when port A takes air in and port B exhausts, the spiral groove on the piston rod is constrained by the guide pin and retracts one rotation stroke while rotating, and then completes the linear tightening stroke.
Main technical parameters of rotary clamping cylinder
The theoretical clamping force is the theoretical force exerted on the rod cavity side when the pressure is 0.5MPa.
The permissible bending moment is the maximum bending moment that can be exerted on the piston rod.
The direction of rotation to the left or right is the direction of rotation when the piston rod is retracted when viewed from the rod side.
