General processing machines such as lathes need to speed up the feed to save time when not in contact with the work. When starting to cut, the feed should be slow to ensure the processing quality. Or the hydraulic cylinder itself has too much momentum and needs to be decelerated at the end of the stroke. In order for the hydraulic cylinder to stop smoothly, a stroke speed regulating valve is needed to control the speed.
